Black and white photo of a man with long hair and a mustache wearing a beret and white jacket, walking on a street. A person in a hoodie is in the background, walking away.

Larry Beckett's songs have been recorded by musicians all over the world and his lyrical contributions to Tim Buckley's albums, including No Man Can Find the War, Morning-Glory, and Song to the Siren, continue to resonate with new generations. Larry's musical performance will feature poetic lyrics from his newly released book Song to the Siren

Portland-based Charboneau launched in early 2023 through the efforts of South Tabor neighbors Dan Cook and Andy Giegerich. The two, who’d played in a cover band called Taborwood, shared a love for the Velvet Underground and Gene Clark, and frequently mused that few, if any other, bands had tried to meld the music of those 1960s legends. They enlisted Taborwood bassist John Weinstein and drummer Bruce Shutan for a series of gigs. Another common denominator: they are all baseball fans, hence Charboneau, derived from Joe Charboneau, a one-year wonder with the Cleveland Indians in 1987. If you know who he is, you are a true baseball fan. If not, you can still enjoy the songs. All written and arranged by the band members. Charboneau is recording with co-producer Dave Berkham (the Reverberations, Trabants) at Berkham’s Village Squire Studio. Their first full-length LP is on track for an early summer release on the Braxeling Records label.
